Out Helping the Farmers || Protecting the Lambs
Back down south again helping out the farmers, patrolling the paddocks and protecting the lambs.
It's the beginning of winter and lambing is now in full swing across all of the properties I contract to down here.
Our pre-lambing shooting program has already accounted for 115 foxes which will certainly increase the survival rates of the lambs now hitting the ground.
Running solo this trip, so with several farms to visit, it's going to be a very busy few nights.
Base camp is a small cottage kindly provided by one of the property owners, kitchen, toilet, hot shower and a comfortable bed. Very spoilt.
The plan for night 1 was to visit 2 properties side by side about a 30 minute drive from base ca...

Winter time goat hunting up in the hills
Просмотров 24 тыс.21 день назад
I'm out on on a local contract shoot today hunting Feral Goats. The biggest challenge hunting the goats on this property is the steep terrain and dense vegetation. The goats pass through here occasionally and crossing paths with them is really a game of chance. Generally, my plan of attack is to send up the drone and see if they are about. I managed to locate what I thought was a small mob of g...
We have a Rabbit problem || Over 100 removed

Back down in the Southern Highlands south west of Sydney tonight. I received a call from the property owner saying we have a bit of a rabbit problem This place was certainly overrun with them. It's always very challenging when your'e engaged to control pests on small farms like this. With the highway in the background as well as several horses on the property, rifle and pellet choice was a crit...
Doing OVERWATCH on the Lambing Paddocks #fox control #overwatch
Просмотров 62 тыс.Месяц назад
With winter fast approaching, We're back out in the lambing paddocks on Overwatch duties. Lambing was well under way so my good mate Ian and I had decided to set up in an elevated overwatch position above a large mob of ewes. It wasn't long before we had foxes coming in one after the other looking for an easy meal or an opportunity to snatch a newborn defenceless lamb. After a couple of hours a...
I had a "CRACKING NIGHT OUT" with the AIR RIFLE
Просмотров 155 тыс.2 месяца назад
G'day guys, this video is from a cracking night out I had recently with the air rifle. Shot placement is everything when out chasing these pests with a .22 calibre pcp. A pellet right in the brain box will drop feral cats and foxes on the spot. Achieving a quick, humane and ethical kill is always the desired outcome. This contract took place on a fairly small heritage listed property in a peri-...

LONG RANGE FOX SHOOTING || 477m Kill-Shot || 19 Down
Просмотров 61 тыс.3 месяца назад
Lots of long range fox shooting in this video. Dropping foxes with the Sako .223 at some insane distances. Managed a new personal best with a 477m kill-shot and yes, it's on video. The ballistics calculator in this HikMicro thermal scope is a total game changer. I'm with a good mate of mine for this contract which is at a commercial chicken farm situated on 2000 acres in southern NSW. Open, rol...
Overrun With Rabbits || They're everywhere #airrifleshooting #rabbithunting

Out on a contract job with my 22 calbre air rifle tonight. This place is Overrun with rabbits. It's always very challenging when your'e engaged to control pests on small farms like this. With the highway in the background as well as several horses on the property, rifle and pellet choice was a critical factor. Over 100 rabbits removed from this site in just under 4 hours. We collected and harve...
GARMIN XERO C1 PRO CHRONOGRAPH ▪︎ IS IT REALLY THAT GOOD?
Просмотров 19 тыс.4 месяца назад
I've been running this little beast for the last few weeks. Shooting everything from my .22 calibre air rifle up to .308 centrefire. Measures speeds from as low as 100fps all the way up to 5000fps It hasn't missed a shot so far. Makes tuning an air rifle a breeze. Definitely the simplest chronograph on the market in my opinion. It just works, what more can you say. Sporting an internal recharge...
Huge Rat Infestation: Nighttime Tactics || Air rifle rat kill
Просмотров 194 тыс.5 месяцев назад
Ratting with a .22 cal Air rifle / Pellet gun Shot over 100 rats recently on this poultry farm and I'm back for a follow-up shoot. Rats spread disease and often kill young poultry, not to mention consume costly amounts of grain. They won't take the poison baits and trapping them has proved very difficult. Shooting them is the most effective control method. The setup I'm running tonight is the F...

Thank you for sharing both your victories and your challenges with us. Really makes content more relatable.
My pleasure mate. Thanks for watching 👊
Cat Bloody Huge !!
Yeah. Decent size mate 👌
Is it true if u still had dingoes, you would not have foxes because dingoes won't tolerate competition ?? Cause and Effect me thinks ??
We'd still have foxes though there certainly wouldn't be as many.
Looking forward ro replacing my Labradar with one of these in the future. Nice and compact. My Labradar has about a 70-80% reading on shots, so this thing is clearly an upgrade.
Certainly will be mate. Love mine
Hi Rod great footage my friend love it question please I have a Sytong clip on HT-66 on my 17HMR that I'm not that happy with can you recommend a clip on to replace it cheers JC
Not really my area of expertise as I have never used an NV add on, I've been running the HikMicro Alpex 4K day/night scope and amazing if you decide to go away from the clip on John.
@@RJMHuntingAustralia thanks Rob cheers
Brilliant. these introduced pests cause mayhem with the newborn livestock and native species. Have you ever worked with the Farmer Assist program?
I did register my details when it first started mate. Have never heard a thing. 🤷♂️
Well done Rodney. Keep up the good work mate. Yup, us country folk always help out where we can. Sing out if you ever come north.
Will do Peter. Thank you mate 👍
Nice one mate, I've also had good luck with the 'g'day mate' stopper and also the 'oi dickhead' fox stopper both work very well.
I was just wondering if you send the foxes to the fur trade? Some of those are very cool and would make great hats, coats ect.
No mate. No fur trade in Oz anymore
Hi in one of your episodes you used a laser to locate your animals what was it please cheers JC
Here's a link mate. www.eagleyehg.com.au/hunting-lights/laser-green.html

@johncunningham9330 no worries 👍
New subscriber says hello😊 Great video. Well made and edited. Humane killshots as well and as it should be. Had to subscribe to your channel after watching this video. Thumbs up and greetings from Norway 🇳🇴
That's awesome. Thanks mate. Hope you enjoy the channel. 👊
Sadly missed the G'day ......this video was complete therapy for that never stop doing what you do just love your sense of humor so glad i subscribed keep pumping out the videos this one 10/10 very intense and very accurate shooting nothing beats a fox hunt video : )
I really appreciate that mate. Thank you 👊
Hey clarke Tough break with the lost trap. All trapper s must do their best to minimise this but it has happened to me also. You r very conscientious Love the channel. Cheers ed
Bit confused by this one mate 🤔
Little barrrstards.
They certainly are mate
Suck it up and get over it!!!!!!!!
Couldn't help myself. 🤷♂️😅
Nice mate the farmers will be happy with that effort cheers mate keep up the good work
Thanks Michael, will do mate 👍
Outstanding work. I'd love to pick your brain on load development? We load our own for our feral management business and are definitely getting more into using subs since 90% pf our shots are inside 50m anyway. Keep up the good work.
More than happy to have a chat mate. Message me on Facebook or send me an email mate.
You’re funny, yeah faulty fuel gauge. More like faulty memory remembering to fuel ⛽️ up. 👍🍻

Happy to help out if you're in a reasonable driving distance

Could you make a video showing how the Alpex 4K ballistic calculator works? Thank you.
I'll see what I can do mate
@@RJMHuntingAustralia It would be great for all of us who are interested in buying the Alpex 4K. Thanks mate
YOU are FLOCKING Legend Mate 🙏👍🙏👍🙏
Lol. Thanks champ 👊
Never rely on gauges mate, LOL. I also learned that the hard way. Nice shooting, especially that bugger on the toe. O.o Happy Farmers for sure.
Live and learn mate. 😅 All sorted now though 😉
Great video mate definitely happy farmers
Yeah. They were very pleased. Thanks mate 👍
That running shot was insane!
Thanks mate 👊
Great video. I'm wondering did you bother to chrono the rifle before you put in the details for the ballistic calculator? Or do you use whatever speed is on the box? Cheers from Ireland.
I always chronny them mate. Can't rely on the information on the box.
Appreciate that reply buddy
good joob 👍👍👍
Thankyou 👊
3:59 "Oi, Billy, are you all right? You appear to have fallen over." 4:04. "Oww." Effing hilarious. 84m with an air rifle is superb, we are not worthy. Max street cred. I once got a wood pigeon at 55m with open sight .22 (550 ft/sec), 12ftLb (UK rules) air rifle, in the neck. Didn't even break the skin, but knocked it unconscious. Wish we could have air chargeable air rifles, but a FAC is required and they are as rare as rocking-horse shit.
Thanks mate. You're regulations over there seem pretty tough 😧
The flying meat …. Oh damn !!!
😅
Let’s goooo ,
Well done mate.
Thanks Tom 👊
🎯
G'day Rod, poor Charlie doesn't stand a chance in view of the awesome night vision optics, LOL Many years ago I was out shooting on a small 55 acre farm and there was a neighbouring field containing a large number of heavily pregnant ewes with one on it's back. I left my gun on my side of the fence and I went into the field and rolled it back onto it's feet just like you did in this video. Sadly, that field and the 55 acre farm now contain houses. All the best Rod, Geoff. UK.
Nice of you to do that mate. We have to help out the farmers wherever we can.
Decent shot @ 08:59ish
Cheers 👊
Nice Rodney, glad to see the red demons out of the paddock, lol, I don't have a recipe for fox, yuck, but bag me some venison a doe, that I can help you with 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 bloody foxes wiped out my 23 Ancona Hens and Cock in one night, a fox proof hen coop????? I poisoned the dead and let it take them the next night, whelping season adios fox
Got me buggered why they always have to wipe out everything. Mongrel things. 🤬
Gday Mate great vid as usual
Thanks champion 👊
Gday Mate ................and heres ya Lead present !! Great to watch Cheers👍
Hello mate. Thanks for the visit 👊
I think you forgot to say "Mate. What say we put another shrimp on the barbi?"
🤣
Great vid, thanks. Well done.
Cheers mate
8:53 a masterpiece 👏👏👏
Thanks mate 👊
Bit of advice from a friendly sheep farmer!! Always appreciate the help with stuck stock for a start, epic 👌🏻 BUT, and it’s a friendly one (😉) always cut the VERTICAL wire next to where the animal is stuck and then just use your boot and hand to lift the horizontal wires further apart, letting the animal out. Cutting horizontal wires buggers the tension in the wire, even net, where as cutting a vertical doesn’t 👍🏻👍🏻
I'll keep that in mind for next time mate
Well done Rod,helping a cast ewe . Super stuff.
Just glad I spotted her when I did mate 👌
@@RJMHuntingAustralia Sadly, some aren't seen, and,it's doubly tragic if there is a lamb/s involved. I'm paraoid, and, lucky that my flock is small enough for a head count every night, and, morning. Did I see you with bolt cutters release a dummy who coudn't get out of ringlock??Ha,ha.Good one,Rod
Always carry a few tools in the ute. Just in case 😉
Nice job on the foxes. You certainly have that rifle dialled in well. 💪
Thanks Josh, I'm pretty pedantic with it mate. Especially on these properties where longer range shots are often required.
@@RJMHuntingAustralia only way to be doing contract work 👌
Impressive running shot! I'm sure that shot entered at an oblique angle and everything in the chest cavity is mush.
